New Face for the Proceedings of the INMM Annual Meeting
by Charles Pietri, TPC

This fall you will be treated to another innovation at INMM. The Proceedings of the 51st INMM Annual Meeting will be posted on the INMM website (www.inmm.org) and available to INMM members. All annual meeting attendees will also receive the CD. This is the last year that Proceedings on CDs will be available.  This is the first event commemorating the beginning of the next 50 years of progress at the Institute.

Furthermore, by the end of this year, if you are an INMM member, you will be able to access all of the previously published Proceedings.  The Proceedings started out in the 1950s as a 30-page publication and reached a 1600-page, 2-volume document in the 1990s - too unwieldy and expensive to publish and distribute. Our next innovation was to publish the Proceedings on CDs - a process that was far more effective and appropriate for our membership and other interested parties.  By posting the Proceedings on the website INMM provides easier access to the information, a means of readily searching the archive for past papers of significance, and a modest cost-savings.  We hope you will be pleased with this latest benefit.

This effort was made possible by the financial support obtained by Amy Whitworth through National Nuclear Security Administration Defense Nuclear Security.

Record Abstract Submission!
We thank everyone who submitted an abstract for the 2010 Annual Meeting. The Technical Program Committee will meet on March 2 to develop the meeting program. More than 540 abstracts have been submitted for consideration for this year's technical program. This is the largest number of abstracts ever submitted for an INMM Annual Meeting and significantly higher than last year's total of 467 abstracts submitted. The 51st Annual Meeting is shaping up to be another record-breaker for INMM.
