The Nonproliferation and Arms Control Technical Division of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) is pleased to invite you to the fourth in a series of workshops on reducing the risk from Radioactive and Nuclear Materials.
This workshop will examine issues and best practices associated with:
- Secure Transportation of Radioactive Materials
- Addressing Radioactive Materials Trafficking
- The Impacts of UNSCR 1887 on Nuclear Security
- Verification of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) Article VI
Participants will discuss technology gaps, policy gaps, and prioritization for addressing the identified gaps.

Both INMM members and nonmembers are encouraged to attend, particularly:
- Customs officials dealing with the day-to-day management of radiation detection at the border

Participation in the Workshop on Reducing the Risk from Radioactive and Nuclear Materials is limited to registered attendees. Full registration includes:

Advance online registration has been extended to Jan. 22, 2010. After Jan. 22, 2010, you must register at the workshop. Registrations received after Jan. 14, 2010, will not be included in the participants list distributed at the workshop.

Workshop Cancellation Policy
Workshop registration cancellations must be submitted in writing to INMM Headquarters on or before Jan. 14, 2010. No refunds will be made after Jan. 22, 2010. Substitutions are allowed at any time but must be requested in writing to INMM headquarters by the original registrant.
Hotel Accommodations
The Workshop will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Washington, DC USA. The rate for the participant in the workshop is $207 per room per night single. Be sure to identify yourself as an INMM Workshop participant to receive this special workshop rate.
Attendees must make hotel reservations by Jan. 22, 2010. Reservation requests made after this date will be confirmed on a space available basis at prevailing hotel rates. The hotel will not issue a charge to your credit card before the meeting, but will charge a penalty for any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled date of arrival.
