Welcome to the Spring 2008 issue of the INMM Communicator!

The 49th INMM annual meeting is coming up, marking the beginning of the celebrations for the INMM’s 50th anniversary. The meeting will be held on July 13-17, 2008, in Nashville, TN. Remember to make your hotel reservations early! Details on the upcoming annual meeting can be found in a piece by Charles Pietri, chair of the Technical Program Committee.

Consider nominating a deserving colleague to one of the INMM awards: you will find information about the awards in a piece by Yvonne Ferris, chair of the Honors and Awards Committee.

In this issue of the Communicator, we have a piece from Steve Mladineo, chair of the INMM Nonproliferation and Arms Control Division, who tells us about what’s new in his division.

As in every issue of the Communicator, we have news about the Institute’s internal operations in a column by INMM Vice-President Steve Ortiz, “Inside Insights.” Another regular feature is the piece “Member News,” by Grace Thomson, our Membership Committee chair. A special welcome to all the new INMM members; their names are listed in Grace’s piece.
