INMM Introduces Electronic Ballot for 2007 EC Elections
The annual election of the INMM Executive Committee will be held in April and May 2007. To ensure security and the privacy of our membership, we will conduct the 2007 election online by voting electronically rather than mail ballot.
The INMM Executive Committee is eager to implement this technological initiative, as we believe it will substantially increase member participation in the election process. The new online ballot will include photos of the candidates, biographical information and links to a full resume and position statement. In addition, an optional survey may be conducted during the voting process, which the Executive Committee will use the survey results to implement strategies for the coming months and years.
Voting instructions and a link to the election site will be sent by e-mail to eligible members prior to the election. The electronic voting system prevents voter fraud by assigning two unique identifiers per member that must be entered to vote as well as ensuring that only one vote is cast per voting member. All members who have the availability of online service should ensure that INMM has your correct e-mail address. Members should update their contact information via the Members Only area on the INMM Web site www.inmm.org. Members who do not have an e-mail address will continue to receive a ballot by mail.
