Volume 4, Number 1
April 2006
Editor's Note
Welcome to the spring edition of the INMM Communicator. By now you should have received the decision from the INMM Technical Program Committee on your abstracts for the 47 th INMM annual meeting, which will be held in Nashville, Tenn., on July 16-20, 2006. As a reminder, full papers are due on June 16, 2006, and will be published in the meeting proceedings. Instructions with information on paper preparation can be found in the meeting section of the INMM Web site. A CD with the proceedings will be mailed to all registered attendees in the fall.
The preliminary program for the meeting is available for public viewing on the INMM Web site. The abstracts are restricted by password, which is e-mailed when your meeting registration is confirmed. More information on the meeting is given in a piece by Charles Pietri, Technical Program Chair.
This year we anticipate having many students attending the conference, from all over the country and from overseas. The Awards Committee will judge the student papers and presentations or posters for the J. D. Williams Student Paper Award. This prestigious and competitive award is given to the best student paper presented at the meeting.
In this issue of the Communicator, you will find a note from Yvonne Ferris, chair of the Awards Committee, inviting nominations for awards of our deserving colleagues. There is still time to do so, but nominations must be received at INMM headquarters by today, April 25.
Our regular pieces include Member News, news on the membership by Membership Chair Scott Vance, and a piece by INMM Vice President Nancy Jo Nicholas, who provides us with information on INMM leadership in her column Inside Insights.
As always, I look forward to hearing from you at pozzisa@ornl.gov. See you in Nashville this summer!
