Packaging, Transportation and Disposition

The Packaging, Transportation and Disposition Technical Division promotes the advancement of technology involved in the packaging, transportation and waste management of radioactive materials and its successful application to the solution of packaging, transportation and waste management problems around the world. This includes the packaging, transportation, storage, handling, processing, and disposal of all levels of radioactive sources, all forms of source and special nuclear materials, spent nuclear fuel, materials containing induced radioactivity, all levels of radioactive waste and contaminated materials.
